March 21, 2009, Brothers of the Akron Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. had the pleasure of celebrating the chapter's 54th anniversary of chartering. Akron Alumni Chapter was chartered March 27, 1955.

Thanks to the dedication of Chairperson Brother Lawrence B. Butler and Co-Chairpersons, Marques Greenwood and Emmanuel LeGrair, Brothers from around the East Coast Province enjoyed the bond of fraternity while partaking in an exquisite lunch prepared by the Cuyahoga Falls Hilton Hotel.

Distinguished lecturer and fellow Kappa, Dr. Julian Earls, was the keynote speaker at the luncheon.
